(4) Jon Moxley & Brian Kendrick beat Jimmy Jacobs & Paul London.
London could not get Kendrick to come in and fight him. When he wouldn’t, London fought an invisible guy. London pleaded with Kendrick to come in, invoking their days as WWE jobbers. After the match, Jacobs held Moxley on a table, and London tried to climb the ropes to jump down. Kendrick stopped him. Teddy Hart came out and implored them to take it all the way. They jumped him, and he flew out to the outside after them. He took a hard bump. Then it ended.

Singles Match
El Generico vs. “Intrepid Traveler” Paul London

When two good-natured heart of gold-types such as El Generico and Paul London are forced to square off in the professional wrestling world, it can sometimes be difficult for the two competitors to find the proper motivation. Obviously, there is always the vague notion of fame and championships when it comes to wrestling, but sometimes that’s just not enough to make a sweet guy like Paul London want to hurt a honeybee like El Generico, or vice versa. It’s one of the many difficulties that the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Board of Directors faces when putting together shows, but it is one difficulty that the Board is prepared to deal with. By now, many fans know that the plight of orphans in his native Tijuana is a cause that is very close to El Generico, but few fans realize that Paul London is a champion of the downtrodden children, as well. But where El Generico concerns himself with children in Northwestern Mexico, Paul London’s concerns are galactic in scope: he is worried about space orphans.

While Paul London can certainly appreciate El Generico’s efforts in rebuilding Los Angelitos de El Generico, London’s dreams rest in the cosmos, where he hopes to build an orphanage in geosynchronous obit with the moon as a first strike against coming plague of space orphan-ism. Sensing that these causes are very close to both men’s hearts, the Board of Directors has set aside a sum of money (up to $100,000. UP TO.) which will be donated to the construction efforts of the winner’s facility. Now, both Paul London and El Generico have something equally important to fight for at Titannica, with only their pride to lose. The terrestrial and space orphans, on the other hand, stand to lose a potentially bright future, and will be forced to resign themselves to sleeping in gutters, or stowing away on interstellar cargo freighters for the rest of their days.

1st Match: Brian Anthony vs. Mike Bennett vs. Jason Blade vs. Matt Taven vs. Paul London (NEW Champion) in a 5-way Elimination Match for the NEW Championship Title. Referee: Kevin Keenan.

Bennett got lots of anti-Boston heat. Anthony kept wanting to get in the ring with London. Telling Taven “Hey pretty Boy I want him.” The Highspots.com camera man stood on ring steps recording the match as he did for all the matches, sometimes he would get off the steps. London tried to make Blade tap to the crossface but Blade would not submit he reversed it into a pin but London kicked out. They did a few spots with guys jumping out of the ring and 2 or 3 catching them. The match was done where only two can be in the ring at same time, if you leave the ring or tag out you are not legal. If someone goes out of ring first one in ring is legal. Bennett eliminated Blade with a spinebuster. London & Anthony were then both legal and London hit a nice shooting star press to eliminate Anthony. London tried to make Taven submit but was reversed into a rollover and London was eliminated meaning a new NEW champion would be crowned tonight. London shook hands and hugged Taven and told him to win. Bennett went for a leg drop but missed and Taven hit a kick but could not get the pin. Taven hit a frog splash to win the NEW Championship! Taven celebrated in the ring awhile and walked around the ring with his title. The match was about 20 minutes long.

The Mayhem recap

Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem’s official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:

How he was approached to join Dragon Gate USA: “I’ve known Gabe (Sapolsky) for several years from Ring Of Honor, and he contacted me and said whenever I’m ready to wrestle for us & if you’re interested, let me know. I was definitely interested, and Dragon Gate is pretty high caliber, one of the higher calibers in my opinion. I’m excited for it and just tyring to add what I can.”

What his morale is like now being part of DGUSA after his time in the WWE & what the fans can expect from him now: “Say you create something, and imagine knowing that you can definitely offer way more than you are, and you’re willing to do that night in & night out yet, that’s not the confines of working. You’re working with something much smaller, much more censored, and I think as a result, much more exaggerated for the negative. That’s the environment you’re working in when you’re working with the entertainment industry & the WWE. You’re going to work and walking into an editing room. On one hand, it makes your work more creative, but it’s almost like having a studio chop up everything you do. That’s where a lot of the frustration comes in. I’m just a…I don’t even know if calling myself a prop would be very fair even. They either care about your ideas or they couldn’t care less. That’s what I dealt with.”

If he was approached to return to TNA upon leaving World Wrestling Entertainment & how appealing is TNA/the X-Division to him currently (and if a return to TNA could be down the pipeline this year): I do keep up with the product some, because I have some friends there; obviously Brian (Kendrick) is working there now. It’s a interesting show. A lot of it is very similar, but with of it, it has digressed in some parts. It takes two to tango, and I don’t really feel that TNA has any interest in having me there or they would have made a stronger effort than they did. Instead, they made a pretty lousy & insulting effort almost a year ago to be honest with you. I don’t have much interest at this point, so I could go to another place & be unappreciated…No thanks.”

Paul’s thoughts on some WWE Superstars who may bad-mouthed him on his way out of the company, including a message to Matt Hardy: “He doesn’t count. I’m talking about people that matters like friends of mine. That doesn’t matter to me. I meant real comments from real people.”

More is contained in this exclusive interview with Paul London, including his candid & uncensored thoughts on whether or not he watches the current WWE product, along with the prospects of meeting (and potentially collaborating with) Bob Saget, who is rumored to be filming selected scenes of his A&E reality show using Dragon Gate USA as the backdrop. Experience some of the hottest wrestling action of the year next weekend in Phoenix as part of WrestleMania weekend by checking out “Open The Ultimate Gate” & “Mercury Rising,” as part of DGUSA’s desert double-shot.

Regarding Highspots Preview
Published: March, 12th by Laura - Filed under: Uncategorized - Follow us on Twitter - Comment [5]

Since there is a lot of speculation about the highspots preview going around, i figured to post up what Paul sent me the other day regarding it. So read below…

As for the preview… I realize we look like jerks haha but the “good natured” folks of Highspots wouldnt have anything to sell if they didnt package their preview in a way that looks like we are just burying everything and everyone….NOT TRUE

Yes, we are drinking…yes, it appears that we are smoking as well (we’re old enough haha)…and in an atmosphere where the alcohol was the ONLY thing we had in our systems that day OF COURSE we will get loud and obnoxious (maybe even come off as mean unfortunately) but hey…. ITS NOT LIKE WE HAD TO GET SO DRUNK THAT WE GOT OURSELVES ARRESTED LIKE HILLBILLIES FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION LOLOLOLOL

BUT TO CLEAR SOME THINGS UP:

The OVW part: I was talking about how discouraging the whole farm system was, as I was expecting something serious and intense, only to see how lazy the whole thing made everybody. JILLIAN HALL, on the day I was referring to, SAT OUT practice and training on the show day claiming to be sick and making excuses for not working out and doing the drills like most everyone else was. BOB HOLLY, just happen to be there that day and was not in a good mood (rare I know lol). BOB, called everyone to the bleachers to address the lack of seriousness and professionalism he saw in most of the “wrestlers” there….

before this… JILLIAN was already getting ready for the show (which she was all of a sudden ‘feeling better’ for much to the chagrin of those of us who weren’t on the show….namely ME haha) AND she was ‘getting ready’ by only practicing 450′s in the ring! WTF?
